After visiting Carrick-a-Rede, we started out on the North Antrim Coastal Walk towards the Causeway.
It was incredibly beautiful.
Ballintoy Harbor.
White Park Bay.
This part was NOT easy to walk on.
We found Conn's house from "House of The Year"...we were so excited! He also has Northern Ireland's tiniest church nextdoor:
Here the path became tricky. It was just a path of thick, slippery mud along the very top of a cliff! One misstep and we would've fallen to the ocean on the right.
The path after we safely crossed it. (I clung to the fence.) But we weren't safe yet. The next part of the path had simply disappeared. There was a little mudslide and the wooden walk and steps had collapsed...we could see pieces of them at the bottom of the cliff:
Sadly, we had to turn around.
Looking at my cliffs.
We successfully made it back to Portrush, after waiting in a suspicious and abandoned-looking bus stop on the side of the road. Oh - today was my 28th birthday! We ended the day with a yummy dinner at 55 Degrees North in Portrush:
Parsnip & Ginger soup with Wheaten bread.
Matt's chicken pasta and my coconut chicken kebabs.
Raspberry cheesecake:
This year is going to be amazing. I can tell.
