cold.

Dear Future Self,
Remember the days when grocery shopping meant a long, miserable walk in the cold and/or rain...with a list that was limited to what you could carry back in 2 (very heavy) bags?
Remember the days when an internet connection was never strong or reliable, and often only accessed from a cold, drafty windowsill? And when you had to do homework in that windowsill wearing gloves and clutching hot chocolate to keep your fingers thawed?
Remember the days when central heating did not exist and radiators just didn't make a room warm no matter how long they were on?
Well, as I write this, I am in the middle of those days. Those days you spent on an adventure in Ireland. Yes, you loved this adventure. But if you ever miss it in a melancholy, discontent sort of way, STOP. Because it's not all cozy and cuddly and gorgeous.
Love,
Your Former Self in Ireland.
